Times of Transformation

These are very exciting times. Over the years we've undergone many changes but this summer we are going to be undergoing a major transformation. I am meeting with a couple representatives, from a local marketing company, next week. They have been working on our logo, our business card, ideas for our website and ideas for online marketing. Time flies

Times flies when you're having fun! Clean Right Company is booming right now. We are currently performing final clean on not only the Fairchild AFB housing remodel project but we are also cleaning one of the largest projects in our area -the Whitworth Science Building for Bouten Construction. Simultaneously we have already performed a dental facility for Silvey Construction, are scheduled to do a dental facility for Ramey Construction, resteraunt for Kilgore Construction & a re-clean as well as strip and finish of the resilient flooring for Bouten at the Whitworth Science Building. Whooo! Did I happen to mention I am taking three classes at the college too?

Spring into Sping with a Spring Clean...

As I pass by my windows I see the sun peeking through the cracks.  I reach for the blinds and open cheerfully, waiting for the delightful rays of the sun to warm my smiling face.  As I take a deep breath, I begin to cough and weeze.  Why you ask?  The dust of course!  Winter creates a dusty home.  We don't open our windows because its cold... we turn on our fireplace which creates a fine dust from wood particles and ash... the corners and cracks are shadowed because we don't open the blinds... and we break out Holiday Decor that may clutter areas that we normally don't. 

But now that the crafts are back in the box, the blinds are cracking open inch by inch, and its ALMOST warm enough to turn off the fireplace and open the windows, we need a good Spring Clean of our home. But who has time to do that?  Not ME!  That's why I had the awesome maids from Clean Right Company do a thorough scrub down and dusting of my home just yesterday.  And it was easy!  I just made an appointment and it can be that easy for you too.  Just give me a call and I would be happy to give you more information on the services we offer and to schedule you for your very own Spring Cleaning Service.  ~Erica Jensen, President.

Holiday Madness

Christmas is almost here and I have just licked my last envelope and stamped my last Christmas Card.  Family gifts are either out, wrapped or almost complete.  Holiday Wishes to our Customers are stamped and will be in the mail in the morning.  It has been a wonderful year for Clean Right as well as Nick and myself.  We have been blessed with wonderful customers and amazing employees.  Happy Holiday Everyone!!! 

Quarterly Newsletter

Its been a while

Wow, time sure does fly when your going to school, getting married and running a business!  Well, the wedding was a success and the honeymoon wasn't long enough.  But I can't complain...

Back to hitting the books.  Taking my first official accounting class this quarter and I LOVE IT!  For now!!!  I am already having a better understanding of the reports QuickBooks generates for my company.  It is very exciting.

Feast or Famine

It's a funny thing... Since the inseption of Clean Right Company, we have noticed a trend that happens around any upcoming Holiday.  About four weeks before, we get SLAMMED (The 'Feast') and the week after the Holiday, we get totally SLOW (The 'Famine').  Unfortunatley, this slow period usually lasts for a week or two.  The reason behind this is that most of our work comes from the New Construction Cleaning Service we offer.  Holidays are a great deadline for Contractors to have their projects finished.  Therefore, there is a mad dash to get complete before the holiday.  The week after the holiday is slow because most of the workers on various projects will take a long weekend which causes a slow period.

We have been focusing on stearing our company in a direction that doesn't experience these lags in the schedule.  Our course of action is through Janitorial and Maid Service. 

It's been awhile

Wow, time sure does go by fast.  Let's see... what have I been up to?  The real question is what have I not been up to?  The new system I was trying out is not going to work well for our company.  I had to find too many backdoors in order for the system to work for our company.  I don't have the time or patients to do that.  So, I have started using a simple scheduling software that is all online.  It has been really nice because my Employees can just get online to check their schedules and anytime I make a change, it emails them. 

We are also upgrading our Dell Laptop with Window's 7.  This is suppose to fix all the glitches that arise with Window's Vista.  Nick is excited as it is done and he has been without a laptop for a week. 

This week has been fantastic as far as new customers.  We have four new customers this week, two maid services and two janitorial services.  This is a record for sure!

Just another day?

It seems too long since I've written my thoughts.  I've been so very busy.  Planning the wedding (which by the way is getting very close!), working, trying out this new software, keeping up with the day to day work... The new software is turning out to be a bit disappointing.  I understand it wasn't made for the 'Cleaning Service Industry' but it is not as easy to integrate as I assumed it would be and it is difficult to use with my type of business.  I have to find back doors to use the system and it is taking way too long.  I'm going to give it a couple more weeks and then make a final decision, but as of now, I am not going to continue with it.  A bit frustrating as I would have spent so much valuable time and money with it.  This definately isn't the first or will it be the last time I will have to learn something the hard way.  Why is that? 

Optimizing Business Performance

I am downloading a new business software, FieldOne.  This software is, hopefully, going to streamline the day to day data entry for our company.  It is an AP/AR, Scheduling, Customer Data, Inventory Tracking, Marketing Campaign Tracking software.  The only thing it doesn't do is Payroll.  Will keep you updated on its performance but I am very excited to get started.

 

General Update

Wow!  Spring Quarter is officially OVER!!  Soooo glad I decided to take the summer off from school.  Our phones have been ringing off the hook with new leads coming from our online advertising.  That is soooo awesome as we have cut back on the amount we were spending on it from last year and have found a few great companies that actually seem to do what they promise when it comes to updating your information for the search engines.  I'm confident that my commitment to updating our blog, Facebook Page and photos are helping in this regard also. 

The best part is that when we are searched for, we are usually the first on the list of comopanies next to the google/mapquest map.  With that we are the only company that has references.  This has been a BIG catalyst in getting people to contact us.  When I ask how they found us, they say through an online search and they chose us because we have good reviews.  SWEET!!

Some more awesome news:  We received a call from a lady that is offering us a chance to bid on a 5 day a week, day and night shift janitorial service.  This is BIG!  This is Full Time work for three people!  Not to say we will get it, but it will be a great experience either way.  We are very excited that these kinds of opportunities are finding their way to us.

New Client Announcement

I would like to welcome another new addition to the Clean Right Client Family, SS Mine Holdings LLC.  I just spoke with Paul, their CFO and he informed me that we are their new janitorial company! We will be performing a one time, deep clean of their facility this weekend and will maintain that level of clean once per week.  We can't wait to get started!
